The NBA Summer League is off to a terrific start, with many young players showing what they can on the court. One of the players playing well for the Charlotte Hornets is LiAngelo Ball, the middle brother to Lonzo and LeMelo Ball.
Ball earned a spot on the Hornes team by working out with his brother LeMelo, and Charlotte’s facility. After that, coaches took notice and put LiAngelo on the Sumer League roster. After three games played, Ball is averaging 11.3 points per game, on15.9 minutes per game. He is known for his outside shooting and is shooting 44% from beyond the arc.
Ball struggled a bit on Thursday night’s game scoring eight points son 3-9 shooting from the field, but he managed to make an outstanding 38-foot three-point before the buzzer at halftime.
In LiAngelo’s Summer League debut last Sunday, he posted 16 points in 16 minutes, knocking down 5 of 10 shots with all of his makes coming from 3-point range. Ball also made a four-point play.
LiAngelo Ball has good size and can shoot the basketball, he has a quick release, and it has been on full display in Summer League. However, Ball will need to keep up his excellent shooting to make the Hornets any other team training camp roster. NBA teams are always looking for shooters, and Ball could be a shooter an NBA team needs.
