Eagles Lose to the Steelers in Preseason

The NFL is finally back. This season they added an extra game so now it’s a 17 game season with only 3 pre season games. The Philadelphia Eagles has some new faces on the game and will try and bounce back from a horrible 4-11-1 season last year. New Head Coach Nick Sirranni will take over the team.

The Philadelphia Eagles played their first pre season game last night against the Pittsburgh Steelers. We get to see Jalen Hurts who has not yet been named the starter get to see some snaps on the field. Brandon Brooks and finally back healthy for the offensive line. Jalen Hurts only played a couple of series. Hurts went 3/7 54 yards. He threw so good passes from the pocket to his tight ends Dallas Goddert And Zach Ertz who looks great. He did drop a ball that should have been caught. Quez Watkins was the man of the game catching a pass from a bubble screen for a 79 yd for the TD. Joe Flacco looked good for the 2nd unit. 10/17 178 and 1 TD. The Defense looked impressive. Josh Sweat has been having a good camp and it showed on the field. The Linebacker Alex Singleton and TJ Edwards were dominant. Michael Jacquett did gave up a big play but he recovered with a good tackle on the next play.

Nick Mullins and the 3rd and 4th unit in the second half was just straight bad. Mullins 1/5 with 2 interceptions. He didn’t have time to throw and when he did throw he didn’t step into his throw. There were some good plays Jason Huntley had a nice run but the holding penalty it was called back. Shawn Bradley was all over the field. Elijah Riley had a interception. Milton Williams, T.Y McGill, Kenneth Gainwell all looked good.

Johnathan Gannon didn’t really blitz last night he wanted to see what the eagles would do 1 on 1 battles to see what his players could do.

It’s the first Preseason game. The rookies got  to see what a real NFL game is in real speed. Dwayne Haskins is trying to get a spot on the team as the 3rd QB on the Steelers. 16/22 161 TD 1.
