Coming into week 5 the Indianapolis Colts came off a game where the defense carried the day in the previous game against the Chicago Bears. The Colts limited the Bears to just 28 rushing yards.
Coming into a game against the Cleveland Browns where they want to set up the run first is going to be a test for the front of the defense. In their previous game against Washington they rushed for 158 yards. Against the Cowboys the Browns rushed for 307 yards which will be a big test for them. Super star linebacker Darius Leonard has been ruled out the game. He has led the team with a team high 27 tackles. Once the run was set up the Browns unleashed a 202 receiving yards on the Cowboys depleted secondary. This young secondary with Khari Willis and Julian Blackmon will be tested with the likes of Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry keep an eye out for the Colts secondary to go against them. The Browns star running back Nick Chubb is out with a MCL injury so keep an eye out on their run game
Coming into this game the Colts offense has revolved around setting up the run first and running it down teams throats. While the passing game hasn’t been needed in the past couple games. For the Browns secondary they allowed the Dallas Cowboys to throw for over 502 yards in this game if the run isn’t working because left tackle Anthony Castonzo is out and left tackle Le’Raven Clark to take the spot. Expect Cleveland to attack that spot with one of their best defensive players Myles Garrett. Quarterback Phillip Rivers might have to throw more even with players stepping up in the receiving core. Expect him to go to receivers like Zach Pascal. Pascal led the team in receiving last year with 607 yards. Pascal can step up for the team. This game might be run heavy between both teams.
The Colts will play the Browns at 4:25 pm this Sunday.
